National Assembly Minority Leader Junet Mohammed has said the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) is gaining confidence and visibility at the Coast as leaders openly identify with its brand and activities ahead of the next elections.

The remarks were shared on X on Sunday, February 15, 2026, after a political tour of the coastal region where party leaders met supporters, local organisers and residents to assess the party’s strength and mood on the ground.

Junet pointed to growing support at the Coast and said members are no longer hesitant to publicly associate with the party’s identity and colours.

“Our party is stronger in Pwani than ever before. We are not afraid to show up in our party’s orange brand, for this is how we have always done it,” Junet Mohammed stated.

He also said the party is reorganising and energising its structures as it prepares early for the coming electoral contest across the country.

“We are today bolder and more determined to strengthen the support bases of our democratic movement for the forthcoming polls,” the statement reads.

Junet further stated that the party is already looking beyond internal mobilisation and positioning itself to lead a future administration through alliances with like-minded partners.

“We reiterate that the ODM Party will form the next government with partners who share our party’s vision for Kenya, a united nation where resources are equitably distributed and opportunities fairly shared,” the statement reads.

He framed the party’s message around economic fairness, saying development and national wealth must benefit communities across the country rather than remaining in select hands.

“We in ODM believe that the wealth and prosperity of our nation must reach the far edges of our country and not be concentrated in the hands of a few, for the benefit of a few,” the statement reads.

Junet concluded by expressing satisfaction with the reception received during the Coastal tour and confidence in the direction of the movement under party leadership.

“We wind up the coastal tour very happy and confident of the future of our party and movement led ably by our party leader, Oburu Oginga,” the statement reads.
