‘We Cannot Accept Anarchy!’ President Ruto Fires Warning To Uhuru, Raila Over Demos

President William Ruto has hit out at his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga over what he terms as organizing chaos in the country under the guise of peaceful anti-government protests.
The Head of State, addressing residents of Mutindwa in Tharaka Nithi County on Thursday evening, accused Odinga of attempting to sabotage all three past governments through arm twisting means.
He went ahead to throw blame on Kenyatta for falling for the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya coalition party leader’s perceived blackmail methods, and allowing himself to be hoodwinked into abandoning their campaign promises for the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).
The President hence warned both Kenyatta and Odinga against what he termed as instigating violence in the country for the sake of their own ulterior motives.
He further maintained that he will not be vowed by the anti-government protests, adding that he will however not stand by and witness the opposition faction fuel anarchy across the country.
“We cannot accept anarchy in the Republic of Kenya, na ndio mimi nataka niwaambie hawa handshake brothers; nyinyi mnapanga na kutumia pesa mlizoiba kupiganisha Kenya, kununua vijana waharibu mali, walete fujo na maafa kwa sababu hamtaki tuendelee, mnataka kutuweka mateka wenu,” he said.
