President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga urge The Two Houses to Support BBI

President Uhuru Kenyatta and his BBI co-principal Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga, have told members of The Senate and The National Assembly to pass the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) Amendment Bill of 2020.

The duo said this will ensure that the will of over 3 million number of Kenyans who appended their signatures in support of the Bill and that of over 24 County Assemblies that supported the BBI bill is represented hence charting a non-partisan and selfless way forward for all Kenyans.

This was done in a joint statement that was released on Wednesday evening. The two also said that the Bill aims at providing long-term solutions to the problems of this country Kenya. They also urged the leaders to set aside their political and personal differences and focus on passing the Bill.

The BBI co-principals also affirmed that after the two houses support the BBI Bill, it will be taken directly to the people of Kenya to confirm that they are indeed satisfied and that their leaders have listened to them thus they confirm that they elected faithful servants.
