Lecturer Found Mutilated in his House

Lecturer’s body found decomposing in his rented apartment.
A 40 year old Kisii University lecturer was this evening found dead in his rented apartment at Mwembe area within Kisii municipality.
The decomposing body of Peter Moracha, was found on the living
room after his family broke the door to gain entry.
According to the family , there was dry blood stains splattered on the floor and the body had a wound on the brow.
The family suspect he may had been murdered by an intruder who
escaped using the next door
Vincent Moracha,his brother said the deceased was unreachable for the last three days and this is when they came and visit.
His sister Jane Moracha, who also works at the Kisii university said that when she arrived, doors were locked but there was a bad odour being emitted from the house.
“we decided to break the door only to find his body lying on the seat with blood on his face. It had a deep cut on the face ,” said Vincent.
The family want investigations to be carried out and suspects arrested.
Are chief Yobesh Mose told journalists the environmental science lecture had been staying alone.
They suspect he died Tuesday when calls to his phone went unanswered.
Kisii University Human Resource manager Eric Onsongo said the deceased taught Geography at the University’s main campus.
“We have contacted the police to start investigations into the death,” said Onsongo
The body has been taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital as the police launch investigations.
