Kisii County Workers Tool down after directive from CoG chair Wycliffe Oparanya

Few employees at the Kisii county government reported to work following a directive that was issued by the council of governors.

The county communication unit said few people reported to work compared to the number of employees working in the county.

Several meetings are currently ongoing at the county offices to discuss the issue.

All departments are open as the number of employees turns out is low.

The medical facilities are conducted normally and the services are still ongoing.

As for the Nyamira county government, employees who deliver essential services are reported to work.

Nyamira County communication officer Siruel Ong’era said the county had already sent her employees on leave due to COVID 19 even before the COG gave out a statement yesterday.

Currently, the Kisii County Governor James Ongwae is hosting the Nyanza Regional commissioner Magu Mutindika ahead of the Mashujaa preparation and Kisii county is scheduled to host the national event.

The regional commissioner is inspecting the projects done by the national government at the county level.
